트럼프 대통령도 트위트를 통하여 "캘리포니아 주의 화재는 매우 빠르게 확산되고 있으며, 어떤 지역은 1분에 80-100 에이커가 불타고 있습니다. 사람들이 빨리 대피하지 않으면, 불에 추월당할 위험이 있습니다. 주 당국과 지역 관리들의 대피 명령을 따라주세요!"라고 독려했다.

California's Worst Wildfire in the U.S.
Large, simultaneous fires in California have killed at least 11 people and evacuated 300,000. Firemen battled all night to extinguish the wildfire, but the strong wind made it difficult to control the blaze. The current rate of evolution is reportedly less than 30 percent.
The White House announced that "Today, President Donald J. Trump declared that an emergency exists in the State of California and ordered Federal assistance to supplement State, tribal, and local response efforts due to the emergency condition "s resulting from wildfires beginning on November 8, 2018, and continuing."
President Trump twitted that "These California fires are expanding very, very quickly (in some cases 80-100 acres a minute). If people don’t evacuate quickly, they risk being overtaken by the fire. Please listen to evacuation orders from State and local officials!"
