우주놀이
기어도 보고, 걸어도 보고,
뛰어도 보고, 날아도 보고,
세상의 온갖 아름다운 풀, 꽃,
산과 들, 강과 바다도 보고,
갖가지 시고 맵고 짜고 달고
맛있는 음식도 실컷 먹어 보고,
새소리, 빗소리, 바람 소리,
천둥소리, 자연의 소리 들어보고,
가슴에서 샘솟는 시와 노래 지어
읊고 부르기도 듣기도 해보고,
기쁨과 아픔과 슬픔의 사랑도,
그 좋은 섹스도 할 만큼 해보고,
영고성쇠의 파란만장한 삶을 살아도 보고
그리고 끝으로 죽어도 본다는 것,
이 모든 것이 우리 각자 모두
무지개 배를 타고 망망대해
코스모스바다로 황홀하게
항해해 본다는 게
이 얼마나 기차도록 기막힐
기적의 행운인가
To crawl, to walk,
to run, and even to fly —
To see all the beautiful grass and flowers,
the mountains and fields, rivers and seas of the world,
To taste the sour, the spicy, the salty, the sweet,
and to feast on delicious foods,
To listen to the sounds of birds, rain, wind,
and thunder — the voices of nature,
To write poems and songs
that well up from the heart,
to recite them, sing them, and hear them,
To experience love in all its joy, pain, and sorrow,
and to know the bliss of good sex,
To live a turbulent life
of rise and fall, glory and ruin,
And at last — even to die,
All of this,
each and every one of us,
sailing across the boundless sea
on a rainbow boat,
toward the sea of cosmos in rapture —
What an endlessly astounding
miracle of fortune this is!
