대만 공군이 업그레이드 된 새로운 전투기를 실전에 투입할 준비를 마쳤다. 18일 채영문(蔡英文) 대만 총통은 "대만의 F-16V 개량형 첫 비행대가 출범했다. 이 항공기들은 미국과의 긴밀한 협력을 상징하며 우리의 국방력을 실질적으로 강화할 첨단 기술을 갖추고 있다.
Taiwan's first squadron of upgraded F-16V fighter jets has entered service. These aircraft symbolize our close cooperation with the US & are equipped with advanced technology that will substantially strengthen our national defense."라고 밝혔다.
