골목 위의 노숙순례자
좁고 음침한 낙원상가 옆 골목길
한물간 여인의 솜씨 좋은 음식 냄새
펄펄 끓는 삼천 원짜리 해장국에
술병 난 남자들 꾸역꾸역 모여드는데
창문 너머 침 흘리며 엿보는 그 남자
머리는 산발에 배는 등에 붙어 있네
한때 빛나는 햇살 같은 날들이 있었겠지
양복이 잘 어울리는 직장도 있었을 텐데
사람 일이란 알 수 없는 운명의 장난인가
찌든 담벼락에 기대 울고 있는 남자
발자국도 사라지는 서러운 골목길 끝에서
검은 비닐봉지 꽁꽁 싸매고 퍼질러 앉아
휘돌아가는 바람에게 말을 걸어 본다네
겨울이 지나면 민들레처럼 다시 살아나
초점 없는 착한 눈동자 반짝거리며
이 골목 저 골목으로 노숙순례 떠나네

Drunken men crowd in, stumbling, seeking warmth.
Beyond the window, a man watches, drooling,
His hair unkempt, belly clings tight to his back.
Once, there were days like shining sunlight,
A suit well-fitted, a workplace proud and bright.
Is life but a cruel jest of fate unknown?
A man leans, weeping on a grime-stained wall.
At the alley’s end where footsteps fade away,
He wraps a black plastic bag tight, then sits.
To the swirling wind, he speaks his silent words,
After winter passes, like dandelions, he'll rise again,
With gentle, unfocused eyes flickering bright,
Embarking on his homeless pilgrimage through alleys and streets.
