햇살 위에 앉아 그네를 타고 있었지!
그네처럼 비좁은 천국의 욕망 안에서
용기 있게 생각의 그네를 끊어 버리면
진리의 유혹에 쉽게 빠져 버리지 않네
화나면 화가 가라앉길 오래도록 기다리고
욕망이 일면 욕망이 가라앉길 기다리면
다 사라지고 남는 건 오로지 단순함뿐이라네
오, 귀하고 귀한 단순함의 아름다움이여
오, 사랑스럽고 사랑스러운 평온함이여
미래를 모르는 것이 진리 중의 진리라네
과거를 모르는 것이 사랑 중의 사랑이라네
아침에 저녁을 판단하는 건 현명하지 않아
사려깊게 고독을 즐기기만 하면 된다네
그게 바로 그토록 찾아 헤맨 열쇠라네
