진리 찾아 구만리
고독한 세상을 동정하여
울타리 밖으로 걸어 나갔더니
진리열차는 이미 출발해 버렸네
다른 사람들 틈바구니에 끼어
견뎌야 할 위험을 피해 방관자로
수십 년 넘게 살고 또 살았더니
세상을 동정하는 것도 무지임을
다시 오지 않는 시간을 보며 알았네
나는 결핍을 먹고 사는 방랑자
진리야, 정해진 대로 너의 길을 가라
즐거운 마음으로 내 곁을 돌고 돌아
멀리 아주 멀리 떠나가도 좋다네
진리는 보는 자의 진실을 말하지 않지만
고독은 깨달은 자의 운명이라네
오늘도 나는 진리열차를 기다리며
살아서 꿈틀거리는 고독을 껴안고
이 밤이 새도록 한바탕 뒹굴고 있다네
“그대여 진리 없는 진리가 진리라네”
In Search of Truth
Pitying this lonely world,
I stepped beyond the fence,
only to find that the Train of Truth
had already departed.
Avoiding the risks I should have endured,
hiding among the crowd as a mere observer,
I lived and lived for decades,
until I came to see, watching time that never returns,
that even pitying the world is a form of ignorance.
I am a wanderer nourished by lack and longing.
O Truth, go your way as destiny has ordained.
Circle around me with a joyful heart,
and if you must, depart far away,
far beyond the horizon.
Truth does not speak the truth
of the one who beholds it,
but solitude is the destiny
of the awakened.
So today again, waiting for the Train of Truth,
I embrace a solitude that writhes alive within me,
and roll through the long night
until dawn breaks.
