문화재청은 유네스코 세계유산 ‘한국의 서원‘을 홍보하고자 서원을 배경으로 한 웹드라마 「삼백살 20학번」을 제작하고 문화재청 유튜브와 한국의 서원 누리집(http://koreaseowon.com), 네이버 TV(티비)와 카카오 TV(티비)를 통해 12월 21일부터 공개한다.
「삼백살 20학번」은 편당 약 10분, 총 6편으로 구성되었으며, 조선 시대 인재를 키우던 '서원' 안의 도령 3인방이 2020년 대한민국 서원으로 떨어지며 시작되는 웹드라마다. 유네스코 세계유산으로 등재된 9개의 서원(소수서원, 남계서원, 옥산서원, 도산서원, 필암서원, 도동서원, 병산서원, 무성서원, 돈암서원)을 배경으로 이야기가 펼쳐진다.
줄거리는 번번이 과거시험에 낙방하는 전강운(노상현 분)과 김신재(공재현 분) 그리고 허창(이세진 분) 등 삼인삼색의 조선 도령 3인방이 우연히 2020년으로 떨어지게 되고, 서원관리자의 딸이자 매력 넘치는 서연(최지수 분)과 만나면서 펼쳐지는 청춘들의 성장드라마이다. 최지수, 이세진, 노상현, 공재현 등 실력파 신예 배우들이 주인공으로 출연한다.
문화재청은 웹드라마의 배경으로 등장하는 서원의 아름다움을 시청자가 자연스럽게 느낄 수 있도록 연출하였다. 미디어를 통해 서원에 대한 국내외 미래 세대의 관심을 촉진하고 인지도를 높여, 앞으로 서원이 한국의 주요 관광지로 인식될 수 있는 효과를 가져다 줄 것으로 기대한다.
문화재청은 웹드라마 「삼백살 20학번」을 국내외 한국 문화 홍보 기관 등에 무상으로 제공하여 한국 문화에 대한 호기심을 유발하는 계기로 활용할 계획이다. 또한, 영어, 중국어 등 다양한 외국어의 자막을 순차적으로 지원할 예정이다.
“300 Year-Old Class of 2020” Is Now Released
- A Fantasy Comic Web Drama Filmed in Nine Korean Seowon of UNESCO World Heritage -
The Cultural Heritage Administration (Administrator Chung Jae-suk) releases a web drama titled “300 Year-Old Class of 2020”, which the heritage agency has produced to promote seowon, the Neo-Confucian academies in Korea, a UNESCO World Heritage property. The series will appear on CHA’s YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/chluvu, the drama’s website http://koreaseowon.com, Naver TV and Kakao TV from December 21.
The series, consisting of six episodes of ten minutes each, is a fantasy comic web drama that tells a story of three students, who were studying in seowon during the Joseon period accidently time travel and arrive at present-day seowon in 2020. It was filmed and set in nine seowon of UNESCO World Heritage property (Sosu-seowon, Namgye-seowon, Oksan-seowon, Dosan-seowon, Piram-seowon, Dodong-seowon, Byeongsan-seowon, Museong-seowon and Donam-seowon) and was starred by rookie actors and actresses such as Choi Ji Su, Noh Sang Hyun, Lee Se Jin and Gong Jae Hyun, all of whom were playing fascinating characters.
As were the Gyeongbokgung Palace that appeared in BTS’s video clip and the cities in the Feel the Rhythm of Korea series by Korea Tourism Organization, which were drawing global attention, the drama series were directed to lead the audience naturally feel the beauty of seowon in their scenes. Through this, it is expected that young generations in Korea and overseas countries become more interested in seowon and recognize the Neo-Confucian academies as one of the major tourist attractions in the country.
CHA will distribute this web drama to Korean cultural agencies home and abroad for free, expecting it to arouse more curiosity about Korean culture. English, Chinese and other foreign language subtitles will also be offered.
