어떻게 코스미안이 될 것인가
진보 좌파와 보수 우파, 흑백 인종주의, 옳고 그름, 선과 악의 흑백이론, 남녀갈등, 상하관계, 갑을관계, 선민과 이방인, 너와 나를 분별하는 모든 분열적인 울타리 안에 갇혀 있는 한 우리 인류는 상생이 아닌 자멸의 길을 갈 수밖에 없다.
그렇다면 우리는 무엇보다도 각자의 진정한 정체성을 먼저 깨달아야 한다. 너와 나 그리고 우주 만물이 하나라는 것, 너를 돕고 사랑하는 것이 곧 나 자신을 돕고 사랑하는 것임을 알아야 한다. 그러자면 우리 모두는 발상의 전환, 역발상을 해야 한다. 네가 있어 내가 존재하고 너를 위하는 것이 곧 나 자신을 위하는 것임을 어서 깨달아야 한다.
그래서 자업자득이라 하지 않는가. 오늘날 우리 인류가 직면한 기후변화, 전쟁과 분쟁, 질병과 재난 등 모든 불행이 그러한 것이다.
생각해보면 우리는 부모의 축복된 결합으로 창조되어 사랑이란 무지개를 타고 이 작은 지구별에 와서 잠시 머물다 우주로 되돌아갈 나그네인 코스미안들이다.
그러므로 우리는 우주적 본질이 사랑임을 깨달아 눈 깜짝할 사이 만큼 짧고, 경이롭고 신비스러우며, 슬프도록 아름다운 삶을 서로가 나누며 살아야 한다. 우리는 사랑을 나누는 만큼만 사는 것이다.

How to Be Cosmian
Leftist or rightist, liberal or conservative, progressive or reactionary ideology; black or white racism; right or wrong, good or bad judgment; male and female, the chosen or heathen, upper or lower class, us or them mentality, etc.; all these divisive discriminations imprison us all earthlings, bound for self-destruction, forsaking win win solution, causing the current climate change and all sorts of other human-made calamities and catastrohies, conflicts and disasters, wars and what not.
If so, what would be more imperative and urgent than to be awakened to appreciate the experience of being born arainbow of love through the union of our parents on this most beautiful and wonderful planet earth as brief sojourners to return to the Cosmos, to be aware of our true identity as Cosmians to share our common cosmic vision in living and loving during our short stay here on earth?
In order to come to this realization, every one of us has to be enlightened and inspired to learn that one is not separate from each other, being a microcosmos reflecting the whole of the macrocosmos, all that existed in the past, all that exists at present and all that will exist in the future
Thus we’re all in it together, all on our separate, uplifting journeys to realize that loving someone or something is loving oneself and the whole of the Cosmos itself.
May each one of us be the Sea of Cosmos!
