대만 총통 차이잉원((蔡英文)은 21일 목요일 '세계 모국어의 날'을 맞이하여 이런 메시지를 날렸다.
"이 분은 제 아버지가 쓰셨던 언어인 하카족(客家族) 원어민의 말을 가르치는 저의 스승입니다. 저와 같은 다문화 인종들과 교류하는 것을 돕고 있습니다. '세계 모국어의 날'을 맞이하여 대만은 세계와 함께 우리 말과 문화의 다양성에 대해 축하의 메시지를 전합니다."
