Lunch Cafe in Hwajung Middle school
If there isn't a big event in school, we have a "Lunch Cafe" on the English classroom on 5th floor everyday, every week except for Fridays. In the Lunch Cafe, the senior 2nd and 3rd grade students make plans and progress only for the 1st graders' English class. We usually do English activities like Pictionary, solving quiz by describing a person's appearance, or sometimes watch some educational videos. Seniors divide their work time from Monday to Thursday which consists of about 5 members a day, and the 1st graders from class 1 to 9 take this class every other day. We encourage all the 1st graders to join and participate in class well every time, because our teacher in charge of this club will write good things in the student record.
The reason why this Lunch Cafe is remarkable is because we don't have class with a real teacher. The senior students prepare their classes by themselves, and sometimes have a conference for what activities to do next and how to teach efficiently. But don't worry, all of the 'student teachers' are selected carefully and good at both English and leading juniors. In the class, we not only learn English knowledges, but also do many games in English so the juniors may enjoy. From this club, the senior 2nd and 3rd graders get a chance to teach the students or lead the class. Also, the first graders can enjoy English in a fun way and grow their communal brand here.

화정중학교에는 금요일 제외 매일 5층 영어창체실에서 런치카페가 있다. 런치카페에서는 영어와 관련된 다양한 활동들을 1학년들을 대상으로 한다. 다만 주목할 만한 점은 선생님들이 아닌 학생들이 수업을 준비하고 진행한다는 것이다. 이 활동은 수업을 하는 2,3학년들뿐만 아니라 수업을 듣는 1학년 학생들에게도 유익하다는 점에서 좋다.
