Special Things that can Make Students Self-Improve
In my school, there is a special time which is reading books in the morning. Because of it, we have to stay later than other students. So, some of the students may think that it is not a good idea to read in every morning. Iwas also a student who had the same idea. However, my mind changed. It helps me to self-improve and I can discover new things and understand it as my information.
According to a study, Korean adults usually read 9.1 books in one year. But it’s very important to read books. It can help usto self-improve and it’s a vital skill for finding a good job. For me, I loved reading books. So Iusually read one book a day in my elementary school. As I read a lot of books, I understandKorean class better than other students. Also, Ihave a lot indirect experiences that makes me understand new information quickly. In history class, I could participate actively because I have read history books before.
Not only self – improvement, it also develops my mind and helps me to find my future-job. Before, I didn’t have a dream. My purpose of study was just to earn money. One day, I read an autobiography book of Maria Anderson. I was deeply moved by her life and I made up my mind to sing and make everyone move everyone’s hearts. Because I have a reason why I should try hard on everything, I live diligently. Books made me dream.
However, nowadays, we don’t have time to read books. So it’s good to make time to read books. If they allow students to read books freely, they will not read much. When school makes students read books obligatorily, they can read many books in class time. In our school, we have 20 minutes to read books every day. If we read books for 20 minutes every day, we can read more than 50 books in one year and the information inside the books will help us improve. So I think it’s a special time we can self-improve ourselves.
